Congratulations Spencer!!!{ Bar Mitzvah photographer-Hollie Marie}

Celebrating Spencer's Bar Mitzvah!

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the Bar Mitzvah ceremony of this wonderful young man. The entire chapel atmosphere at Temple Israel was filled with excitement as Spencer's family and friends gathered to celebrate.

I love this image of the blessing. How amazing is it to have words of hope and encouragement spoken over you.

Everyone was anxiously awaiting the moment when he was able to read directly from the Torah. Great job Spencer!

Congratulations Spencer and a special thank you to the Cohn family for allowing me to be apart of your special day.

Keep Your Digital Files Safe {Hollie Marie Detroit Wedding Photograher}

It seems like every bride I meet with asks the same question. Do you offer all images on CD? This is the latest trend in products for wedding photography. Who wouldn't want every image taken at their wedding? The real question though is what are you going to do with them? Keep in mind that the average wedding will consist of a hundreds of images. First of all, you need to know how and where to safely store your wedding memories. If you purchase the Hollie Marie Archival Kit, along with your DVD of images you will also receive instructions on storage such as:

1. Burn extra copies of the DVD. DVDs do get scratched, misplaced, or stuck in a disfunctional DVD player. Copies are the easiest solution to these problems.
2. Download the files onto your computers hard drive if you have the space needed.
3. Invest in an external hard drive. We all know computers fail and crash everyday. Be prepared.
4. Keep all of these backup media in different locations. If your house catches on fire and it is holding all these backup files they could be lost forever. Try either a family members house, or a safety deposit box at your bank, this will insure the longevity of your digital files.
